BUDGIE - BUDGIE 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING RARE VINYL LP EX

This is Budgie's debut album and was recorded at Rockfield Studios with Black Sabbath producer Roger Bain.  Budgie from Cardiff, Wales were a major influence of The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and bands such as Metallica.

"... recorded in four days on 8 track tape, putting down the 'live' tracks as if the group were actually on stage.  Later when it was all on tape the indulgence of overdubbing was resorted to.

The result a 'live' excitement with the power of a studio sound.

BUDGIE are a three piece from Cardiff, probably the first British Rock Band to get to grips with the heavy American giants..."  Roger Bain (from album cover).

Recorded live at the world famous Rockfield Studios in the Wye Valley, Wales which has been host to groups such as Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Motorhead, Rush, Queen, Sepultura and Bullet for my Valentine to name a few.

Vinyl is in excellent condition with very little play.  There are a few audible 'click's' on side one in a couple of tracks but I couldn't visibly see any scratches, otherwise it plays perfectly.

Sleeve has become unglued on one edge (see photo) and shows some signs of wear but considering it's age is in pretty good condition.

I have tried to describe and photograph as accurately as possible.  Please enquire if any further information or additional photos are required.
