NOW RARE UK BLACK LABEL PRESSING
WITH THE BLACK, TURQUOISE, SILVER & WHITE LABELS
AND ORIGINAL ROBERT STACE UNLAMINATED SLEEVE
excellent doomy heavy rock
in the style of surprisingly few bands at the time
(the most notable other being Black Sabbath, and to a lesser extent Uriah Heep, with the US offering the somewhat lightweight Bang)
ferocious guitar, bulldozing bass and monolithic drums
with the distinctively shrill voice of Burke Shelley
all nicely captured thanks to the uncompromisingly direct style of Sabbath’s ace heavyweight producer / engineer Rodger Bain
AMONG THE BEST BRITISH HEAVY ROCK ALBUMS OF THE EARLY 70s
42 years old and in beautiful near mint condition
SUPERB UK ORIGINAL WITH PRISTINE COVER
printed in England by Robert Stace
heavy duty UK pressing
thick, rigid disc with high gloss, no scratches
very near mint
just one or two of the very lightest surface paper traces each side
these are superficial only and do not affect audio quality
immaculate labels with no spindle wear
both labels are bright, sharp, clean, clear and unmarked
original matt unlaminated cover in amazing condition
near perfect spine with all lettering crisp and sharp
no rubbing or circular wear to either the front or back cover
this is incredible considering the fragile unlaminated finish
rich vibrant colour to the front artwork and rear band photos
seams and opening edges mint, corners excellent
original Decca ‘blue squares’ stereo inner sleeve
this is clean and creamy white
record near mint labels mint cover near mint
