Description

This is an EXTREMELY RARE live recording from the 1983 Budweiser Showdown National Finals at the Palace Theater in Hollywood. This double LP set was produced in 1984 following the 2nd Budweiser Showdown National Finals.This 3 sided radio show highlights the 5 national finalists as they compete for the National Grand Prize. Recorded live with Host Larry Graham (ex Sly Stone, Graham Central Station, etc), it features an amazing performance by Graham on bass, and a stunning performance by 1982/83 winner Sugahh. Bands performing are Marshall Titus - WBMX Chicago, Gregg Williams - WHYZ - Greenville SC, Heaven - KMJQ Houston TX, Ray Contreras - WBLS New York, Finesss - KJLH Los Angeles. It's an excellent time showcase for some of the best Budweiser Showdown bands. This is a SUPER RARE Special Edition and only a few copies of these were ever pressed on vinyl (according to Starstream Co.) DON'T SLEEP on this highly collectable item, undoubtedly the rarest on the Budweiser Showdown series. P.S.The old style non-glossy LP cover has two split seams (one on top and another one on the bottom), however both records are in excellent condition.
