Description

  • "Retrospective, The Best Of Buffalo Springfield" was released in February 1969, about six months after the legendary band disintegrated. The group was formed in Los Angeles in 1966 and was together for only 3 albums before core members Stephen Stills, Neil Young, and Richie Furay went their separate ways.

  • This copy (SD 33-283) is from the first pressing and is in very good condition and still in its original factory shrink wrap. It's over 50-years-old but the album sleeve is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and I rate it VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Atlantic Studios in NYC and pressed at Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side 1 dead wax is etched ST-C-681503-B (MR) P AT ?12877 (5).

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 51 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
