Description

The Bunch - Rock On

Island ILPS 9189 1972 UK

Condition vinyl Mint-/Sleeve Near Mint

This is the Original UK pressing on the Pink Rim Island Label in `Macneill Press` thick cardboard Gimmix Sleeve with free flexi single - 1st issue matrix/run out groove ILPS 9189 A-1U`porky`/ B-1U `pecko` - mother stampers 1O/1A

Vinyl - Nice THICK Vinyl, SUPERB Condition plays `AS  NEW` - looks mint in normal light - Even on closer inspection under very bright spotlight I cant really see any paper scuffs AT ALL!!, REAL TOP TOP COPY!! - Comes with original Blue Island inner Sleeve in Mint Condition

Labels - UNDAMAGED and CLEAN, when viewed under bright spotlight Side 1 has two spindle lines, Side 2 has one - this LP has only been played once or twice in its life!!

Flexi - this LP came with this flexi disc attached to the front under the front record decks stylus (see photos) and plays `Let There Be Drums` (they just dont make the sleeves like this anymore what a great idea!!) - Because of it being a flexi I had to boost up my stylus weight just a tiny bit to play it but it plays Superb for a flexi, probably grade it as EX++/Near Mint - matrix/run out groove SF1 106

Sleeve - Original thick `MacNeill Press` Laminated Gimmix Sleeve, TOP SHARP Spine, BEAUTIFUL SHARP Opening, NO Edge Wear, NO Ring Wear, some minimal laminate creasing along spine edge, Most importantly the stylus and arm which protrude from the sleeve are in nearly perfect condition (this is amazing considering how fragile they are (these always turned up ripped on this part) - NO pen writing/sticker damage/tears etc - TOP copy!!!

Rarity - DEFINITELY!! Hard enough to find the first issue with die cut/gimmix sleeve especially with Flexi still attached, What makes this one even Rarer is its in TOP condition and could only be bettered by a brand new copy (you`ll need a time machine for one of those!)

Truly Amazing Copy of Sandy Denny & Fairport Convention Related Rarity - Sensible Reserve!

Just a note on Grading - I always play grade my records right through and unless stated they do not jump, skip or stick when played!!! I always view the vinyl under a very bright halogen spotlight!!! Why? because although I have excellent vision when viewed under a normal light or even worse a fluorescent tube (most shops have these) the vinyl will not show up how marked it truly is - some view records in daylight but this has to be done in direct sunlight to see the hidden marks - I do this so that I can give the full picture and should please even the most `critical` of collectors. Also I photograph the WHOLE of the cover (I don't cut off the corners or edge) so you can see as close as possible what you will receive!!
