Burnt Suite -- Burnt Suite LP
Original 1972? stereo private pressing on BJW Records (catalog # CSS-9). "Exceptional rural psych with renegade vibe, a true rarity these days"Fantastic local CT private press -- a wild hard rock bluesy-psych album, with a heavy Blue Cheer vibe and some pretty avant-garde machine-gun guitar work and crazy sound experiments in spots (just check out the amazing out-of-nowhere no-wave guitar solo at the end of "It's What You Wanted" below.) The heavy rock tracks are offset by some wistful and rural sounding real-people type country-blues-rock, very nice stuff.
Undated, and I have seen it attributed to 1968, 1969, and 1972.

CONDITION: Cover VG+++ / Vinyl VG- to VG still in shrinkwrap, though has some minor wear under the wrap and a piece of masking tape on the shrinkwrap on back; this copy has seen a lot of playwear, has several light surface scratches and plays with some background noise in parts but no skips or repeats -- check the mp3s above to see exactly how this copy sounds, they have been ripped straight off the LP and have not been cleaned up.NOTE: the shipping costs below only apply if payment is received on or before May 12. After that, shipping costs go up dramatically.
