Description

Artist:  BYRON LEE & THE DRAGONAIRES

   

Title:  “Dance the Ska”

   

Label:   BMN RECORDS (Kingston, Jamaica).  Catalog number is BLP 004.  Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl, with deep groove.  Label is yellow with red text. 

 

Year:  1964.

 

Condition: 

 

DISC:  Vinyl is nice VG++ with full original gloss.  Has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  There are several faint marks that produce an occasional isolated soft tick, but no loud clicks or pops.  Plays very enjoyably with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean.  A very fine playing copy.  

    

JACKET:  Jacket is nice VG+ with no major problems.   Front panel is clean and bright, however there is a small torn area in the slick near the bottom left corner (approx 1 inch) which it appears occurred at the factory, as the torn part appears to be still attached but was carelessly glued underneath the slick itself.  Bottom seam has some minor splitting.  Top seam and spine have some light chipping.  Reverse is clean with no writing, stickers, etc., but has darkened a bit with age.  Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the great sounding disc.
