BYZANTIUM Seasons changing - original UK A&M 1973 prog LP, foldout poster cover
A&M AMLH 68163, 1973 UK issue, matrix endings A1, B1; foldout poster sleeve.
Cover EX-/VG+ A remarkably fresh appearance to this unusual cover. The foldout poster section has a little storage wear along the folds with mild rubbing at the bottom of the centre fold, but otherwise remains vibrant and stunning. The rear panel of the disc pocket has just minimal wear to the open edge and mild storage wear, mostly along the top. The front panel has a very mild ring impression and a few mostly insignificant light marks and short creases. Bottom edge of pocket displays some wear, top and right side edges have hardly any. The spine remains firm with some creasing, a tiny patch of wear at the bottom, a little wear to the print, notably the ‘a’ in Byzantium and the ‘an’ in changing.
Supplied in a new poly-lined inner; includes original A&M paper sleeve (some discoloration, a few marks, short tear at top on one side).
Disc VG A nice firm A&M disc, glossy, fresh appearance, only obvious mark a very short scratch near the beginning of side 2. Labels for the most part excellent, just a little shading around the centre hole, mixed on side 2 with a little light spindle marking.
The disc plays without skips or jumps but there are ten distinct clicks from the short scratch on side 2, with elsewhere a couple of light pops and about nine or ten clicks. Clarity, tone and dynamics are fine but there is some background surface noise and/or light crackle noticeable in places throughout.
