Description
This is the original pressing of Babs Gonzales “Ghetto Street Poetry and Funk” - perhaps his rarest recording -on Expubidence EXP 011. (There is no discographical documentation for this session.) The playing surface is in excellent condition with a nice luster; perhaps played once or twice; small audible mark on Side A Track 5 (“You Need Connections”). The utility cover is hand-written by Babs, with his address in the upper left corner and the (incorrect) title “Lady Day and Babs Gonzales”. 2 ½” split in the center of the spine. Personnel are unknown, but the band consists of tenor sax, organ, bass, and drums. We do not accept PayPal. Please do not bid unless you are comfortable providing credit card information directly. The “Blue Note Records” book – “A Guide for Identifying Original Pressings” is now available on eBay.
