Description
Original US Continental 3 LP box set CLP 104/6: Bach Sonatas & Partitas for violin solo performed by Georges Enesco. These are amazing recordings from one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century recorded when Enesco was nearly 80 years old. All the more amazing as the playing is exceptionally fluid.
US original pressings in red felt box with wooden dowel LP holders. Extremely rare.
Records are in Excellent condition apart from 40 moderate clicks during the Chaconne and a pressing fault that gives 15 very light 'heartbeats'. I have never seen one of these without a pressing fault and I have been lucky enough to have seen 3 sets. The box is in Excellent condition apart from a split to the top edge of lid and a smaller split to leading edge of lid and in the same place on the bottom. Despite these minor faults it looks very tidy.
Buyer pays shipping, for 1 LP £2.50 in the UK, £3.50 airmail to EU for 1 LP, Rest of the world £6.00 for 1 LP. Shipping for multiple wins (including double LPs) & box sets is priced by weight at auction end, or take a look at my 'about me' page for shipping up to 7 LP's by standard airmail. See below for information about insurance. Payment by: UK cheque, IMO, Paypal, or alternatively all major credit/debit cards accepted at our terminal.
******If you plan to buy many LPs you can take advantage of some great shipping prices from DHL (trackable online): Europe 25kg = £35.00 / USA 25kg = £75.00 - 10kg = £45.00 / Far East 25kg = £100.00 - 10kg = £60.00*******
Insurance: For UK buyers packages are automatically insured for up to £28. This is not the case for international buyers and I would recommend that you ask about registered/insured services. While loss and breakages are not common they do happen and I cannot accept responsibility for this - standard airmail is used at the buyer's own risk. I do not use standard envelope type record mailers but very sturdy LP boxes with 1/4 inch stifferners - my LPs never arrive with bent corners! I always remove the LP from its jacket to prevent splitting.
No quibble money back guarantee on all purchases.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
