Yaari Hai notes Rare Indian pressing soundtrack to the 1979 film Shikshaa. Mostly traditional Indian soundtrack fair; check 'Main Diwani' for some nice clean vocal & sitar samples with a cool Indo-pop sensibility and some fat Moog noises thrown in for good measure.
The real heat on this joint, though, are 'Yaari Hai,' an absolutely pounding 4/4 tune with several musical themes (including a crib of 'Smoke on the Water' played on electric guitar; no s**t!) crying out for sampling, and the dancefloor-ready 'Discotheque Music' -- a storm of electro drums introduces a Giorgio Moroder-type sequencer rhythm, squealing electric guitar, chanted non-verbal vocals, and a driving horns'n'strings hook.
