Description

Beethoven "Grosse Fuge" String Quartet, in B Flat Major, Op. 133, and Sting Quartet in F Major, Op. 135 Barylli Quartet

Rare recording of a controversial work. Barylli Quartet albums on early Red Label Winchester are always a find!
All of these albums I'm listing belonged to a Hollywood orchestra leader who paid for his father's estate attorney back in the 60's by giving him his record collection. They sat for years in a few dining room cupboards, in a climate controlled, non-smoking home and have just now seen the light of day after 40-some years. Most of the collection was sold off last year, but these were discovered in another cupboard during a move.
