Bathroom Queen

One Of The Rarest Albums Ever Made In Israel
(One of Top 5 Rarest albums in Israel along with The Churchills)

Excellent Unusual Psych-Folk Music

Original Israeli musical cast from 1970 - Written By Hanoch Levin

Very Controversial at the time with its Anti war theme
Staged in Tel-Aviv eight times only as angry demonstrations around the theatre
forced the producers to stop the performance !!
Not even one local record company agreed to make this album
so it was pressed in a limited edition private pressing

"Queen of the Bathtub ", or its full name" Queen of Bath - a satirical revue in two parts / the brothers in the shadow guns, "reads a response to what Levin saw smugness that characterized the days following the Six Day War victory. This work consisted of twenty-one pieces, some songs and some dialogs, who view the political situation and policies of the day after the war as lacking direction and Israeli pride swelling. All these are typical acute grotesque absurdity Levin. Levin predicted in this play the political problems that may be caused by the consequences of the war..."   and obviously - he was right...
