BAUHAUS – THE SINGLES 1981-1983 (1983 UK FIRST PRESSING) Up for sale is a verified, highly collectible 1983 UK first pressing of Bauhaus's iconic compilation The Singles 1981-1983, released on Beggars Banquet (BEG 100E). This is the definitive audiophile version of these tracks. Pressed in the UK and intended to be played at 45 RPM, this compilation delivers massive soundstage depth and an incredible, punchy bass response that completely outperforms the standard US or European 33 ⅓ RPM variations. Dead-Wax / Matrix Runout Identifiers:

  • Side A: BEG 100G A-1 POUNDA  MT 2
The "Pounda" Provenance:
This copy features the legendary "POUNDA" signature etched into the dead-wax, proving the lacquer was personally cut by master engineer Pete "Pounda" Norman at Tape One studios. Goth and post-punk collectors explicitly seek out this master cut for its superior audio fidelity. Condition Grading:
  • Vinyl Condition: I am no expert at this but I am guessing VG+ or Excellent! The vinyl seems impeccable, clean, sharp, and great sound. 
  • Sleeve Condition: VG / VG+ – Features the original gold embossed foil lettering on the front jacket. There is some very slight scuffing on the front, first Gold "B" but the remainder are clear and sharp. Very slight corner dings on bottom left/right. There is no ring wear or seam splits.
