Description
The Beach Boys 1966 classic, in "Hi Fidelity" mono. Praised as a groundbreaking album, and Brian Wilson's studio masterpiece, it's "baroque pop" style heralded the coming of psychedelic and prog-rock. Paul McCartney cited it as an influence on Sgt. Pepper, which came out a year later. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it #2 on it's "500 Greatest Albums" list.
Vinyl is in beautiful, glossy EX condition. Side one has a visible, but shallow scratch, and there are a few, light paper scuffs-none of which affected play. There were a couple of audible tics, but not much to detract from the overall sound of this amazing album. The center Rainbow label has a few minor spindle tracks, but this album is 48 years old-and it has been played! This record comes complete with the original Capitol inner sleeve. I would grade the cover at VG+. There is some ring wear, and the spine has been carefully taped to prevent further wear. The corners are solid, and the colors bright. A Must for any vinyl collection!
