The Beatles' Second Album (GERMANY) ODEON # ZTOX 5558 STEREO Books for $1000+ Only two German Beatle Lp's with the ZTOX prefix. RARE RARE RARE
This is a very rare Beatles' LP pressed in Germany in 1964. It was pressed for American Military bases (ONLY) to be sold in their PX stores. This has been documented.
A perfect item for the Beatles completest collector. Notice that the cover shot is that used on the Something New LP.
I have repeatedly searched the completed items on Ebay and this LP never has come up because it is ultra rare, I have concluded.
This LP has the coveted cream colored,red print,gold rimmed label. There is a (B+J) written in Magic Marker on side 1 in faded light grey.
The vinyl has some tiny scuffs and scratches and a strange factory pitted look. It plays wonderfully WITHOUT skips or Jumps.The correct markings in the deadwax...YBEX-50053-1 and YBEX-50054-1.
The cover is the flimsy laminated style. The (J+B) appear on the back cover in Magic Marker There is a small pencil marking on bottom above the stereo cartridge information along the bottom.There is some creasing,edgewear and two tape repairs...one along the middle of spine and one along bottom, center. There is some yellowing along edges of back cover due to it's age.
