READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles 1965 LP Something New First MONO Pressing in Torn Shrink, NM/EX!
For those unfamiliar, the first pressings misspelled a translator’s name in the songwriting credits for “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand” as Nicholas. Second pressings corrected the spelling to “Nicolas.” Although this title was issued in 1964, this pressing is from 1965.
But to add to the confusion, since this is a Jacksonville pressing, and since Jacksonville went online in 1965, this is technically a Jacksonville first pressing.
Vinyl--- NM/EX. Side 1 looks absolutely 1965-unplayed. Side 2 looks much the same, with the exception of one light hairline scratch. Ain’t that the way?
Plates--- T26/T18. “T” plates were assigned to Decca, as you can see by the machine-stamped matrix numbers. The disc was pressed by Jacksonville, though, as indicated by the machine-stamped letter “O” in the dead wax.
This is how we know this pressing is from 1965. The Jacksonville plant went online that summer, and they frequently borrowed plates, covers and labels from other pressing plants until they were fully functional.
Cover--- EX. This cover is beautiful. Front cover looks remarkably new. Back cover has only slight yellowing.
**Original price tag is still affixed to the front cover. A second price tag is affixed at the bottom right.
**Drill hole in the upper right corner of the front cover.
**All seams and spine are muscular-strong, NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Shrink has a wide split on the back cover.
Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover. One is in space, to the right of Ringo’s hands. The other is due south on George’s right leg. When in doubt, look for George. He almost always has a breathe hole on him, for some cosmic reason.
Labels--- NM/NM. Brand new-looking 1965 labels, NO SPINDLE MARKS. These labels were furnished to the Jacksonville plant by Scranton.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- NM. Has the Los Angeles thumb tab. Gorgeous blue inner sleeve, lies flat with razor-sharp edges, NO SPLIT SEAMS.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: 4
**So this is a hybrid pressing, using Decca pressing plates, Scranton labels, an older blue inner sleeve from Los Angeles and one of the first covers printed by Jacksonville, with the 4 RIAA!**
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
