DISC AND SLEEVE MINT, AS NEW, NEVER SEEN IN THIS IMMACULATE AND COMPLETE CONDITION, PLUS ORIGINAL FOUR SIDED GATEFOLD NEWSLETTER, STILL PROTECTED IN ITS ORIGINAL BROWN MAILING ENVELOPE – SENSATIONAL!

’The Beatles Third Xmas Record’, was distributed FREE to existing members of The Official UK Beatles Fan Club in December 1965.
This Beatles Flexi Disc NEEDS TO BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED. The Disc and the Sleeve are in the most STUNNING DAY OF RELEASE CONDITION, and it would be IMPOSSIBLE to find a better example.
ENHANCING the INVESTMENT POTENTIAL further is that it comes COMPLETE with its Original Four Sided Gatefold NEWSLETTER, and if that is not enough, it is STILL PROTECTED IN ITS ORIGINAL OUTER MAILING ENVELOPE with the Postal Authorities date stamp, confirming that it was mailed out on ’24 Dec 1965’.
Detailed Description:
The Original 7" Flexi Disc is on the Custom Cream Label with STUNNING Gold Print, together with the Fan Club logo and catalogue number LYN 948. The Flexi plays at 33 1/3rd rpm. Interestingly, the Beatles recorded this Christmas Flexi on 8 November 1965, the same day as they recorded ‘Think For Yourself’.
Stamped Matrix:
The official stamped matrix in the trail out groove reads LYN 948-1Y.
The Disc is protected in an absolutely MINT ORIGINAL card Picture Sleeve, printed and Made in England by MacNeill Press Ltd, London, S.E.1 and has two fold over flip backs to the top and bottom of the reverse of the sleeve.
….And comes with its Original Glossy Paper, FOUR SIDED GATEFOLD National Newsletter No 6, Christmas 1965, featuring the Newsletter message to the Front a stunning Xmas image of The Beatles within the centrefold and a black and white image of The Beatles on the reverse.
The Disc is still protected in its Original Brown Outer Mailing Envelope in which it was mailed out in back in December 1965. The outer mailing envelope displays a Postal authorities stamp reading ‘East Grinstead, Great Britain’ (from where it was mailed) together with a mailing date of ‘24 Dec 1965’.
Condition:
The Custom ‘Beatles Fan Club’ record label is in ABSOLUTELY mint condition. The label looks NEW - like it did when it was printed back in 1965 – not a single sign of fading to any of the beautiful Gold printed text and absolutely NO soiling whatsoever - it cannot be faulted - REMARKABLE!
The Original 7" Flexi Disc playing surface is in PERFECT, FLAT, mint condition - LOOKS TO BE NEW and UNPLAYED – cannot be faulted!
Just look at the detailed scans provided …. We can confidently say that the Original card Picture sleeve is in DAY OF ISSUE mint condition – AS NEW Corner to Corner – We have NEVER offered this sleeve in any better condition! Not a single blemish or crease in sight - like it was manufactured today! The sleeve is so CLEAN and WHITE and has been so carefully preserved from light and pollutants over the years in its Original Outer Mailing Envelope the sleeve is still PERFECTLY FLAT and SQUARE with NO fading to The Beatles image to the front nor the printed text to the reverse. There is NO discoloration, NO age toning, NO creasing, NO tearing, NO handwriting, NO corner bumps, NO edge splitting to any part – WE CAN’T FAULT THIS SLEEVE – needs to be seen to be fully appreciated – IMMACULATE IN EVERY WAY!
The Original Four Sided Gatefold Newsletter is in BEAUTIFUL mint condition, NO tearing NO creasing, NO handwriting and NO imperfections.
The Original Brown Mailing Envelope (in which this 1965 flexi was sent to the Fan Club Member in December 1965) is VERY IMPRESSIVE, showing some mild soiling, but unbelievably still retains its opening flap in one piece, which is still attached to the envelope. It clearly shows the recipient’s printed address. The Postal authorities date stamp of ‘24 Dec 1965’ is slightly faded. Please note it is considered VERY RARE for these Original Mailing envelopes to survive - most were discarded after the Fan Club member had received the disc.
ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE from Corner to Corner, and without hesitation the most EXCEPTIONAL example of this RARE and COMPLETE 1965 XMAS FAN CLUB Set that we have offered in the past 13 years! It would be virtually IMPOSSIBLE, if not Impossible, to find a better one – not to be missed!
