READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles 1966 LP Revolver MONO First Pressing LA in Shrinkwrap, VG+ EX!

Not NM, but still a very nice copy!

Vinyl--- VG+/EX.  This copy occupies the space between VG+ and EX beautifully.  Side 1 has just a few very light scratches nowhere near feelable, and Side 2 has about the same amount, except that they are shorter.  Easily 90% original gloss.

Plates--- F13/G16.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- EX.  Collectors know that the first pressing Revolver album cover, with its predominantly white front and predominantly black back covers are impossible to find without a LOT of ringwear, dirtwear and yellowing.

**This copy has minimal yellowing around the mouth, where the shrink has been opened, and I mean minimal.

**Some foxing has occurred on the front cover, close to the spine, but just a few dots of it.

**All seams and spine are muscular-strong, NO SPLITS.  There are minimal bumps at 3 of the 4 corners.

**Front cover and its borders are 90% snow white!  Black back cover has barely any wear to it at all!  A careful lifting of the shrinkwrap will reveal that almost all of the dirtwear is centralized on the shrinkwrap, which did an incredible job, protecting the cover underneath it.

**Not perfect, but certainly one of the best MONO covers you’ll come across, for sure!

Breathe Holes--- No breathe holes.  Some copies had no breathe holes or RIAA numbers.

Labels--- NM/NM.  First pressing labels use only John’s and Paul’s surnames in the songwriting credits while using George’s full name.  Later issues use full names for them all.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Original yellow Capitol inner sleeve with the West Coast thumb tab is present, and it presents well.  However; it does have large seam splits on all 3 seams.  Could use an upgrade inner sleeve.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: None.

Not a NM copy, but certainly a very beautiful MONO Los Angeles keeper!  If your Beatles collector is still missing a MONO Los Angeles copy, this will be their Christmas present this year!

(NOTE:) Be sure to have a look at my new book on flash drive, “Demystifying The Beatles,” on sale now!  Endorsed by Perry Cox, this flash drive contains the most extensive database created so far, of American Beatles album labels, many of whom I guarantee the most seasoned collectors have never seen!)

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
