Ich bin der Originalbesitzer dieser Vinyl-LP von Capitol Records USA, die ich als junger amerikanischer Teenager am Erscheinungstag im Juni 1966 gekauft habe.

Als ich sie aus meinem örtlichen Plattenladen mit nach Hause nahm, bemerkte ich, dass das offizielle „Trunk Photo“-Cover seltsam aussah, als ob sich darunter ein weiteres Cover verbarg. Also dampfte ich das langweilige Trunk-Cover so vorsichtig wie möglich ab und fand darunter dieses mittlerweile berüchtigte Butcher-Cover. Ziemlich gute Ergebnisse, bis auf einen kleinen Bereich in der unteren linken Ecke.

Ich biete jetzt mein originales Stereo-Vinylalbum von Capitol Records aus dem Jahr 1966, "The Beatles Yesterday And Today", komplett mit dem originalen Butcher-Cover und der originalen „Capitol '66 Sounds Great!“-Innenhülle zum Verkauf an.
Dies ist eine gute Gelegenheit, ein skandalöses Stück Plattenindustriegeschichte zu einem sehr vernünftigen Preis zu erwerben.

Es ist ein paar Jahrzehnte her, seit ich einen Plattenspieler besaß, also bin ich nicht mehr in der Lage zu verifizieren, ob sie noch einwandfrei spielt, aber als sie das letzte Mal auf dem Plattenteller lag, lief sie einwandfrei. Abgesehen von einer Abriebstelle auf Seite 1, Track 1, sehe ich keine Kratzer auf der Platte (ob die Abriebstelle hörbar ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen). Die Platte ist ziemlich sauber, aber ich empfehle, sie vor dem Abspielen nochmal zu reinigen, um alle Restpartikel zu entfernen.

Die Abnutzung ist typisch für eine Platte, Hülle und Innenhülle (siehe Fotos) aus dem Jahr 1966, aber für diese Preiskategorie gar nicht schlecht. Die unteren Säumen des Covers und der Innenhülle sind teilweise offen, und der Cover weist typische altersbedingte Verfärbungen auf. Aber die Schallplatte ist frei von Wölbungen.

I am the original owner of this Capitol Records USA vinyl LP, which I purchased as a young American teenager on the day of release in June 1966. 
Upon taking it home from my local record shop, I noticed its official "trunk photo" cover looked odd, as if another cover was hiding below. So I steamed off that boring trunk cover as carefully as I could, and found this now-infamous butcher cover underneath. Pretty good results, except for a small region in the lower left corner.
I'm now offering for sale that original 1966 Capitol Records stereo vinyl album, "The Beatles Yesterday And Today", complete with it's original Butcher cover and original "Capitol '66 Sounds Great!" inner sleeve.
This is a good opportunity to acquire a scandalous piece of record industry history at a very reasonable price.
It's been a few decades since I owned a record player, so I can't verify that it still plays OK, but last time it was on the turntable it played fine. Apart from a scuff mark on track 1 side 1, I don't see any scratches on the disc (I don't know if the scuff mark is audible). The disc is pretty clean, but I recommend a final cleaning to remove any residual particles before playing.

Wear is typical for a disc, cover and sleeve (see photos) from 1966, but not at all bad for this price category. The bottom seams of the cover and sleeve are partly open and the cover shows typical age-related discoloration. But the disc is free of warp.
