READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles 1967 LP Help! MONO Weird 3-Way Hybrid of the LAST MONO Pressing, Rare Label!

Strange copy that uses elements from all three Capitol plants:

1.  Side 1 label is the incredibly tough-to-find Jacksonville in-house label with small text, only available for a few days in late 1967 before the industry went entirely stereo in 1968.

2.  Side 2 label is the last MONO Scranton label which credits “The Bitter End” to Ken Thorne, separates out “You Can’t Do That,” and lists track 5 as “You’re Going to Lose That Girl” as opposed to “You’re Gonna Lose That Girl.”

3.  Both plates are Los Angeles’ plates.

Kooky pressing.  There can’t have been many of these.  It’s the only one I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure.

Vinyl--- VG+/VG+.  Both sides shine like new.  VERY light scratches only, and most of them can only be seen by tilting the LP toward an adequate light source.  85% brand new shine, both sides.  A really nice-looking platter.

Plates--- F13/F11.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- VG+.  This cover is beautiful.  Solid with NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Slight yellowing, but not very much.  It would have graded EX, had it not been for the spine, which has long cracks in the slick.  However; examining the spine from inside the album pocket, it is very clear that the splits are confined to the slick.  The spine itself is not split.  Not even almost.

Gatefold--- EX.  Hardly any exposure to dirt or wear.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels look 1967-freshly printed.  NO SPLINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- NM.  Original Capitol 1967 tan sleeve is present.  NO SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
