They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. For those unfamiliar, this is George’s very first appearance on his newly-formed Dark Horse label after it became distributed by Warner Bros. 

An incredibly important interview, George discusses his first album for the label, 33 1/3.  And in my opinion, that was his second-best album after “All Things Must Pass.”

He discusses the album track-by-track, including a generous segment on the “My Sweet Lord/He’s So Fine” court case.  One of my favorite George stories is on this album, where the judge states that he likes both songs equally, and George’s lawyer almost blows it when he retorts back, “I thought you just said they’re the same song!”

George also surprisingly comes dangerously close to disclosing the date of a Beatles reunion concert!

As this is a talk album meant to be broadcast once, the vinyl quality isn’t as high as commercially-released Warner Bros. albums.  It has some manufacturer’s cloudiness in the grooves, and it plays with minimal to moderate surface noise.

Plates--- PRO-1-649 LW1/ PRO-2-649 LW1

Cover--- VG+.  Cover has light to moderate browning.  All seams are muscular-strong, NO SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM. 

Much like the “Subsidiary of…” labels that feature the small Capitol logo, this copy has the small Dark Horse logo just below the playhole.

Inner Sleeve--- Generic white.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
