The Beatles 45rpm TOLLIE Demonstration discs of
“Love me do”
Vee Jay realised under it´s new sub label Tollie Records some Beatles tracks. Before the license for realising Beatles singles ended in October 1964, the last single which was produced with the titles Love me do / P.S I love you. From this last single, two versions of promotional records exist. The first Promo has a white label with the title Tollie Records. They are printed in bold characters. Additional, the words Promotional copy” were added. The second white promo label has the expression Tollie Records too, but they were placed in a square.
Vinyl Promo-1:
A-Side: The side is still in an excellent condition with only lightest traces of using. There are no scratches or other kind of damages to detect. Two stamps and two handmade signs are excellent to be seen. A glossy shine has survived over the 45 years.
B-Side: The condition is the same as it was described for the A-Side. No damages and no scratches.
Both sides are a dream for a 45 years old disc.
Conclusion: This disc was carefully stored over the years. In my collection, the disc was stored in an inner plastic sleeve and in an outer hardcover of carton.
Label:
Both labels are a beauty without any kind of damages. On both sides are a sticker with the number 18519 and a light pencil mark.
Vinyl Promo-2:
Both-Sides: The sides are still in an excellent condition with only light traces of using. There are no deep scratches or other kind of damages to detect. On the B-Side exist a light scratch, which is difficult to notice. The A-Side shoes some very light scratches more. But it is important to know, that all these “scratches” are only to be seen at bright light. A glossy shine has survived over the 45 years. Both sides are a dream for a 45 years old disc.
Conclusion: This disc was carefully stored over the years. In my collection, the disc was stored in an inner plastic sleeve and in an outer hardcover of carton.
