Description

This is a VERY nice copy of the infamous (harder to come by #3 Scranton) Beatle "Butcher" cover, flawlessly peeled by the one and only Jim Hanson at Blue Jay Way Galleries.

The peel job is one of Jim's best and, since it's a Scranton version (where they used a water soluble glue), once peeled, it looks almost indistinguishable from a "First State" (see scan)!

CONDITION DESCRIPTION: The seams and spine have some wear but no splittage! The back cover has no writing but does have some typical "yellowing" as well, and a tiny bit of paper loss at the bottom (see scans). The disc itself is in wonderful shape and even comes in the original golden Capitol Records paper "dust" sleeve (see scan)!

As the 40th anniversary of the release of this controversial album rapidly approaches, its value is sure to rise significantly, so don't miss out!

AS A BONUS: Included with your record purchase will be a beautiful copy of the 1966 Capitol Records recall letter!
