Beatles 45 RARE 1975 Hey Jude “Mfd. By Apple” on BOTH Sides, VG+!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Some collectors are aware that just prior to the October through December 1975 “All Rights Reserved” label variation being issued, there was an extremely limited number of copies pressed from these newly-printed backdrop labels issued before the disclaimer had a chance to be typeset for the “All Rights Reserved” run.

The result was a nearly complete run of the singles catalogue pressed with the “Mfd. By Apple” disclaimer at the bottoms of both sides, but without the “All Rights Reserved” disclaimer.  These copies were exclusively out of the Los Angeles plant.  It has taken me since 1975 to verify the existences of all of the titles except for “Slow Down.”  This copy of “Hey Jude” remains the only copy that I have ever seen, and as far as the rest of the titles, I’ve seen less than five each.

It’s time to give this one up to a collector who is trying to complete the run.

Vinyl: VG+/VG+.  Not a NM copy for sure, but it IS the only copy I’ve ever seen.  Each side shows 90% brand new shine, with one or two light scratches that can’t be felt with the fingertip, and a few extremely light shorter ones that are very hard to find.  See photos.

Plates: H12/H12.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Labels: NM/EX.  Side 1 label looks freshly-printed.  Side 2 label has light dirtwear.

Sleeve: VG+.  Minimal wear, some white serration wear.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

If you don’t win this copy, your search is on.

**Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!

Shipping is $5.38 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets within the U.S.  $5.38 covers shipping for up to 5 singles within the U.S., and within the same auction week.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.
