Beatles 45 Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane East Coast First Pressing VERY NICE

Among other very cool things this week, there are half a dozen first pressing Capitol 45’s from the Scranton plant, just slightly under my A-list qualifications.  Extremely nice vinyl on all of them.  Good luck!

Vinyl---under normal room lighting, the vinyl looks pretty close to store stock unplayed.  But under the bare bulb test, you will find that there are a scant amount of very small, very light scratches.  Mostly, this copy shines like new under the bare bulb.  However, there is some sort of residue on the lead-in lip of the “Strawberry Fields Forever” side, which I have never tried to remove.  There is also one very light, soft tic mark on the "Strawberry Fields Forever" side at the 12 o'clock position in the vinyl, which is visible in the photo.  Doesn't affect play.

Labels---both are gorgeous NM.  Full store stock glossy.  The “Penny Lane” label has the incorrect running time of 3:00, which reflected the promo copy having the three extra seconds of trumpet inserted.  This error was later corrected to the proper running time of 2:57.

Company Capitol sleeve--- is present and in good, strong condition.  No splits.  Just a little dulling.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
