Beatles 5-Lot Apple Get Back 45’s Different Running Time Variations

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

For years, I’ve been trying to complete this collection, but now it’s someone else’s turn.  There’s only one variation missing.

**Some copies were missing the running time on the A-side label.  Some on the B-side.  Some had the running times on both sides, and some were missing the running times on both sides.

The only variation that’s missing is the one with the variation missing on the A-side.  For years, I have occasionally seen a copy listed for sale, but it has always been in garbage condition.  As collectors, we all know one thing for certain.  The only way I’m ever going to see an EX or NM copy of the missing variation is to sell these.

These range from VG+ to NM.

1.  Running time on Side 1, not on Side 2

Sleeve:  VG+. “The Beatles on Apple.”  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: EX/VG+.  Light lines only. A few more on Side 2 than Side 1.

Labels: NM/NM.

Plates:  A9/A9.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Capitol logo at the bottom of Side 2.

2.  Running Times on Both Sides Scranton 1969

Sleeve:  VG+. “The Beatles on Apple.”  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: NM/EX.  Side 1 looks store stock new, unplayed.  Side 2 looks the same, but with one extremely light hairline and a manufacturer’s defect.

Labels: NM/NM.

Plates: X2/ B4.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Capitol logo at the bottom of Side 2.

3.  No running times on either side, label variation 1

Sleeve:  VG+. “The Beatles on Apple.”  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: EX/NM.  Side 1 has a piece of fuzz pressed into the vinyl, otherwise NM.  Side 2 is NM.  45 looks unplayed.

Labels: EX/VG.  Just the slightest bit of age on Side 1 if I’m grading conservatively.  Otherwise NM, full gloss.  Side 2 has some wear to the bottom of the label.

Label variation is the earlier Scranton in-house labels, printed before the running times were known.  Titles on both sides are on two lines, as opposed to the others.

Capitol logo at the bottom of Side 2.

Plates: X4/A3.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

4.  No running times on either side, label variation 2.

Sleeve:  VG.  “Apple.”  Lots of wear on the front.  Back looks great.  Price sticker still affixed to front.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG+/EX.  Side 1 has one long light non-feelable scratch.  Side 2 has one short hairline.

Labels: EX/EX.  Two very small red or blue dots per side.  Don’t know what they are, though.  Otherwise, labels are NM.

Plates: B8/B10.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Capitol logo at the bottom of Side 2.

5.  Running Times on Both Sides Scranton 1971

Sleeve:  VG.  “Apple.”  Hardest-to-find sleeve variation with dark grey letters.  Too bad there are tears and seam splits.

A generic sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: EX/EX.  Very light manufacturer’s defect on Side 1.  One very short, very light hairline on Side 2.

Labels:  NM/EX.  Side 2 label has a light amount of dirtwear.  “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” at the bottom of the Side 1 label.

Plates: H10/H10.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!

Shipping is $5.38 for Media Mail for this lot within the U.S.  Additional shipping charges will apply if you win other records this week, but you’ll still get my Combined Shipping rate for those.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.

Money back guarantee if you're not happy with your purchase.
