SCARCE **FINAL** BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL, 1969, **STEREO** A VERY NICE EXAMPLE.>
In 1969, EMI/Parlophone released this second issue album, this was to be the last of the black & yellow Parlophone issues, and only the second time this album was released, before the record label design change to Black and Silver Parlophone, with a ONE EMI BOX logo.
The release was issued as a very small batch in both Mono & Stereo formats with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ but **WITHOUT** the sold in UK label text, (Please note that the Vinyl weight is the same HEAVY QUALITY to that of the earlier 1966 release, also the machine stamped matrix numbers are the same as for the original 1966 issue.
Both record labels are in superb Near Mint condition. Showing nothing more than a few light centre spindle lines..
Side 1 Matrix is: YEX 619-1G and side 2: YEX 620-1G.
Side 1 stampers: 2 AL and Side 2: 4 MR.
There is an embossed KT Tax code visible on the centre of the side one record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are also in Near Mint condition – clean Vinyl surfaces – with only a couple of light surface hairlines, A very well cared for vinyl disc.
The album plays SUPERBLY through ALL the tracks, superb sound quality with NO faults, just perfect STEREO audio.
The Vinyl LP comes in an EMI sepia advertising record bag which is in UNDAMAGED Excellent Plus condition, NO seam splits or tearing, just some light creasing.
….And is housed in its ORIGINAL, FRONT LAMINATED, GARROD and LOFTHOUSE three flipback Picture Sleeve, with the same artwork and style as the original 1966 release.
The Original Garrod & Lofthouse Laminated Sleeve is in Excellent condition, a BRIGHT, FIRM, CLEAN sleeve, showing only mild record indentation, The reverse of the sleeve is undamaged, showing only mild handling signs, the spine is perfect and all the wording is clearly readable.
