1965 UK 2nd **STEREO** PRESSING LP
**RARE LABELS**
This rare early 1965 2nd STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The labels have the rarer 'Roman' typeface with the large 'STEREO' logos.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse 'mid-sized' stereo logo cover.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex' lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 3/OM & 2/RT

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Pristine bright & deep gloss surfaces, undulled by overplay, improper storage or careless handling.
There is just a single faint fingernail scuff on side 2, and close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy paper hairlines.
Otherwise this is a pristine disc with no other marks or any scratches to either side.
Quality, thick, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Barely played, this is a wonderful warm & clear sounding disc with no trace of crackle or groovewear distortion in either channel or on any track.
Even the easily damaged inner tracks; 'Can't Buy Me Love' & 'I'll Be Back', play cleanly & clearly without any break-up or distortion.
Both run-ins & all bands play silently & there are absolutely no clicks, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Strong & clean 'thick' card example retaining a perfect high-gloss, unscratched laminate with a few light spine wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or other creases.
There is slight bumping to three corners & one to the opening edge but no tears to either side.
The rear panel is clean & white with no discoloration, marks, writing or missing paper.
There is some minor shelfwear to the lower edge, but all flipbacks & the spine are in perfect undamaged condition.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
