“A Hard Day’s Night”

Capitol 45 With Picture Sleeve
 Capitol Records 5222 -1964 – Original

"A Hard Day's Night" was written by John, with help from Paul. It was released on the 1964 A Hard Day’s Night movie soundtrack, and was later released as a single, with "I Should Have Known Better" as its B-side in the U.S. and “Things We Said Today” as the B-side in the UK.

The U.S. and UK singles of "A Hard Day's Night", as well as both the American and British A Hard Day’s Night LPs, all held the Number One position in their respective charts in August of 1964, the first time any artist had done this.

In 1965, "A Hard Day's Night" won The Beatles the Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Vocal Group. In 2004, the song was ranked number 153 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All-Time.”

"I Should Have Known Better" was also composed by John, and included in the A Hard Day’s Night  UK Soundtrack LP. In the film song is performed in the train compartment scene. It was actually filmed in a van, with crew members rocking the vehicle to fake the action of a train in motion.

The label has the Unart Music Corporation & Maclen Music, Inc. credit and is in Near Mint condition, with virtually no signs of wear. The vinyl is Very Good.
