Item Description/Condition:
A RESPECTABLE example of The Beatles FIRST ISSUE UK Apple Vinyl LP, 'ABBEY ROAD', released by EMI/Apple on 26 September 1969 on the Custom DARK GREEN APPLE label, with 'Apple Records' label rim , 'Mfd in UK' label text and WITHOUT ‘Her Majesty’ credited to the side 2 record label. The ORIGINAL 1ST Issue Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated sleeve features the RARE, MIS-ALIGNED Apple logo to the reverse (aligned nearer to the edge of the sleeve to that of the regular sleeve).
Both sides of the Record Labels are in EXCEPTIONAL near mint condition, an UNDAMAGED, BRIGHT and CLEAN Set of record labels, with no more than a few faint centre spider trails visible only when tilting the labels around in the light.
Side 1 Matrix YEX 749-2 and Side 2 YEX 750-1.
Side 1 stampers: 6/GGP and Side 2: 2/GGM.
Both sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl Disc are in excellent condition, CLEAN, BRIGHT Vinyl surfaces, with nothing more than a few light surface hairlines.
Audio Quality:
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL through all the tracks, very mild background crackle can be heard on the quiet tracks, and also the occasional light click, but NO skips.
The Vinyl Disc comes in an ORIGINAL White Printed Apple inner bag which is in excellent condition, with only mild creasing and age toning.
The album is housed in its ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED, 1st Issue, Garrod & Lofthouse Picture sleeve featuring the RARE, MIS-ALIGNED Apple logo to the reverse of the sleeve.
The Glossy FIRST ISSUE Fully Laminated MIS-ALIGNED Apple Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in RESPECTABLE excellent minus condition. The laminate is ULTRA GLOSSY, the colours have remained BRIGHT and VIVID, with mild corner bruising to all 4 corners, light ring wear, and laminate pinching. The reverse of the sleeve is GLOSSY and BRIGHT showing just some light laminate creases.
Overall an extremely RESPECTABLE example of this Collectable, ORIGINAL UK Beatles Album, released over 40 years ago.
