Description

This is an Incredible part of Beatles History! Before the Beatles signed with EMI they made an audition tape for Decca Records. This was made with Pete Best before Ringo. Decca passed on the band and this audition tape was long lost for years. However in the late 1970's Bootlegs of this Material on various 45s and LPs began to appear. Fans were more than happy to get their hands on these. At the time no one was sure who owned these recordings. A few Legit Record Companies took it upon themselves to issue a few LPs with these performances. This is one of the Legal ones which disappeared quite fast when Apple Records issued an injunction. This is The Complete Silver Beatles Audio Rarities/Audio Fidelity AR 2452. This is touted to contain these recordings in the BEST SOUND QUALITY! 12 tracks and while the Beatles Anthology released few of these tracks most still remain Missing In Action. Apple supposedly owns the tape and it's a fat chance they will ever issue this. With a great shot of the Beatles on the front and a Silver cover like Rock N Roll Music(easily prone to wear) this is a GEM. Close to MINT!! Also it's a great look into the Band right before fame hit. Lots of Vocals from George and Paul. John is less dominate here..interesting. At any rate these recordings should be a part of all Serious Beatles Fans/Collectors Collection..This is a GEM!! Good Luck.
