I've been collecting Beatles and Monkees records, books and memorabilia for over 40 years. I've decided to sell some of my collection, so save me as a favourite seller. I may just have that special item you've been searching for!

All items graded VISUALLY ONLY - except this one!! (selling on behalf of a friend)

COVER:       VG (ORIGINAL 1969 'BLOOD STAIN' cover; the word 'Stereo' in a box top right hand corner of the front; street 'grill' partially visible on RIngo's white line; small seam split, minor creases)

RECORD:    F to G (numerous scuffs. Owner says the record plays through OK. I wanted to keep the ORIGINAL RECORD to ensure the authenticity of the cover / record combination rather than substituting a later pressing record in better condition. If you want a copy of Abbey Road to listen to in pristine quality, this is not the one for you!)

LABEL:         VG (would be EX but there is a name on A side label. ORIGINAL label with song writing credits for 'Because' spread across 2 lines on side 2)

RARE FIRST ISSUE WITH 'BLOOD STAIN' FRONT COVER.

UNIQUE COVER ONLY FOUND ON THE AUSTRALIAN FIRST ISSUE RELEASE.

The 'BLOOD STAIN' effect on the front cover is believed to have come from a printing error which was soon rectified. At the of it's release, rumours surfaced regarding Paul's 'death' and certain 'clues' were supposed to be found in some earlier songs as well as on this cover, including the way the Beatles are dressed (John all white like an angel, Ringo in a formal suit like a mourning friend, Paul bare foot like a corpse and out of step with the other Beatles, George in jeans like a grave digger) the presence of a 'fifth' Beatle (VW Beetle) with the number plate '28IF' supposed to be Paul's age if he was still alive (in his 28th year). The presence of the the 'Blood stain' was supposed to add another clue ('You were in a car crash and you lost your hair')
