Description

Very rare Abbey Road export edition (N.B. PPCS 7088, not PCS 7088), purchased by my parents in Kenya. Even rarer because it is an unusual Decca contract pressing (no Parlophone sticker over the apple on the back of the cover).

This edition in Very Good condition can sell for four figures in UK pounds £.

Vinyl condition: Good. Numerous light scratches.

Cover condition: Good. Some pen markings on front (see photos). No splits. Standard edition cover (not rare).

1969 pressing. Hidden song ‘Her Majesty’ (no credit on LP or cover).

The album was valued a week ago by a London vinyl record shop (Beatles specialist) at £300-£350, which is the basis of the listing above. The valuer had not seen this version in the last 10 years. He looked it up in the Rare Record Price Guide and applied 30% of book mint value plus potentially 5% more for particular rarity value.
I played it today on a borrowed turntable as a double-check of the condition, and there is one loop/repeat (in the track Golden Slumbers towards the end of side 2). A £25 discount will be applied to the winning bid.
