The Beatles - " Across The Universe"
Rare Rock 7-inch 33rpm 1-Sided Test Pressing - For the World Wildlife Fund
Record # 5Q3-MONO / P 1969
I would have listed this as "NEW" , but I have owned it for approximately 40 years - I know I bought it when I was a teenager in Colorado, so that is 1988 or before . . . I never played it, because I already had any number of records with the song on it! I was just a collector, buying any unusual Beatle records I could find. When I got it I put it in a plastic sleeve and stored it away with my other Beatles singles and pretty much forgot about it . . .
International bidders - please do not pay until I can calculate the cost to your location - I will charge you exactly the same as it costs me and no more!
Just to be clear - I bought this from a record store that DID NOT sell used records. This was back in the 1976 - 1977 era when they released the two compilation albums "Rock N' Roll Music" and ""Love Songs" and I had a good friend that worked at Record Warehouse (I think that was it) in Colorado Springs. This came in a shipment of Beatles singles they were releasing during that time - remember the "Girl / You're Gonna Lose That Girl" fiasco where they designed the sleeve but ended up not releasing the single? Some of the sleeves got out to the public, but without a record in it (I have a mint one of those I will be posting shortly).
My friend said they received 5 or 10 of these in the shipment, so he snagged a couple for himself and pulled a copy for me as well. So, I firmly believe it has never been played and it looks as if it has never been played . . .
