Description

THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES' CHRISTMAS RECORD'

Recorded on 26th October 1964 at in Studio 2 at Abbey Road directly after after recording 'Honey Don't for the 'Beatles For Sale' LP, this - their second of seven Christmas discs - was mailed out to UK Fan Club members only in December 1964.

This superb, 100% complete example is 1-sided, 45rpm flexi-disc on the red & white LYNTONE label: LYN 757

The disc is housed within its original 'MacNeill Press' picture sleeve and comes complete with 'National Newsleter no.4.

Such was the size of the Fan-Club at this time, many discs - like this one- did not get posted until after Christmas. The original hardbacked mailing envelope is postmarked 'London 6.1.65'.

CONDITION

Disc

Labels: NEAR MINT

Clean & unblemished with just slight age-toning but no traces of wear anywhere.

Visual: NEAR MINT

This fragile disc is perfectly clean & flat and free from any bends, kinks or any other handling wear. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but no scratches or any other marks or wear whatsoever.

Play: NEAR MINT

This great sounding disc bears no signs of playwear whatsoever. In fact, aside from a touch of light background normally associated with discs of this type, there is nothing to fault throughout.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

As with 99% of these covers, the rush to get the cover manufactured resulted in some carelessness and traces of dried adhesive were left on the the rear panel. Overall however, the cover is clean and unworn with no creasing, writing or any other significant signs of wear.

Newsletter: EXCELLENT

Light handling wear only.
