Description
Hi
My name is Rob and as my 100% Feedback shows. I am an avid Collector as opposed to a Seller.
My two passions are, anything related to The Beatles both in records and memorabilia and Gum cards, mainly from the 60's.
However over the years in my quest to build a top end collection I have accumulated many duplicates in both RECORDS & CARDS.
I have decided to list back on Ebay some of these items, so please add me to your favourites list to keep an eye out for what is coming.
To help give you a little more knowledge on my Background I have sold copies of Please Please Me Black & Gold, Green Label demos of Lady Madonna, Hello Goodbye and All You Need Is Love, Red & White Label demos of Ticket To Ride and A Hard Days Night. Revolver 601, Rubber Soul , Sgt Peppers No Day In The Life Credit, Let It Be Box Set, various Factory Samples in both Album and Single format and Numerous Other Recordings of their Albums and Singles, both as The Beatles and as Single Artists. For the Card Collecting Fraternity I have sold Full Sets of Mars Attacks, American Civil War, The Saint, all of the James Bond sets and numerous Beatles Sets to name just a few.
That along with my Buying has all been managed with a 100% FEEDBACK RECORD!!!! So that will give you an indication to my integrity, honesty and reliability.
Now as stated I am a COLLECTOR and not a SELLER and am proud of my 100% feedback record and wish to maintain it. So as not to disappoint I will describe these items to the best of my ability and will offer a FULL REFUND to anyone that is not satisfied with what I have stated. PROVIDING!! That all transactions are completed with satisfaction before FEEDBACK is left.
I am a friendly and approachable person so please email me with any queries you may have.
NOW TO LHE LISTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am Very Pleased to offer this respectable copy of THE BEATLES Debut Album “PLEASE PLEASE ME” On the BLACK AND GOLD PARLOPHONE LABEL!!!!!!!! THIS IS A ** VERY FIRST PRESSING ** STEREO LP-PCS-3042 WITH THE DICK JAMES CREDITS!!!!!! HOW RARE IS THAT????????
Not only is this an INCREDIBLY RARE RECORD it can be shown to be one of the first 300 pressed as is proved by the early Mother and Stampers.
This Is the MUCH RARER STEREO version of this Brilliant Debut Album and it is reported that only 900 were ever pressed on the BLACK & GOLD LABEL before changing to the more commonly known YELLOW & BLACK LABEL!!!!!!!!
This is a VERY 1ST PRESSING which is proved by the Dick James Credits and the very early Mother Letters and Stamper Numbers in the run out grooves these are:
Side 1: At 12 O'clock YEX-94-1, at 3 0'clock the number 1 and at 9 O'clock the letter G.
Side 2: at 3 O’clock the letter R, at 6 O’clock YEX-95-1 and at 9 O'clock the number 1.
It is these that denote it as one of the first 300 pressed. It also has the official MZT tax code to the centre of the Label on side 2.
This Superb Record comes in it’s correct poly lined Emitex inner bag and is housed in a 1st Issue Laminated Ernest J Day Flip Back Sleeve with the large STEREO wording to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve with the Angus Mcbean credit very close to the bottom right hand corner of the front.
Now for the GRADING!!!
I play graded this on a Linn Sondek Lingo with an Akito Arm and Ortofon MC 25FL Cartridge throgh a Linn Kairn and Klout, trust me the system would pick up ANY DEFECTS the record may have, and there were NONE that overspoilt the listening ability of this BRILLIANT ALBUM!!!!
Side 1: the all important Label is in VERY GOOD + CONDITION – Lovely and Bright, just look at the pictures to see how Rich and Vivid the GOLD Lettering still is, it has not faded anywhere. There are some spindle marks that show but nothing Too Serious!!!!
The Record although played often plays throughout with no JUMPS though there is the odd POP and CLICK that can be heard on the quieter tracks and Background Noise can be heard but mainly between tracks.
Side 2: The Label is in VERY GOOD CONDITION but it has had a small sticker removed, [it could have been a Factory Sample or a Retail sticker}
The Record again plays throughout with no JUMPS though there is the odd POP and CLICK on two or three tracks, Background Noise is evident but again mainly between tracks.
Both sides of the Disc still retain a Fairly Deep Sheen and though there are a several marks showing NONE affect play.
I have played this record and it still retains it's wonderful early STEREO sound and is VERY EASILY LISTENABLE!!!!.
Having said that as ALL BEATLE collectors will be aware that the true Rarity Factor of this particular record is more in the BLACK & GOLD LABEL than the actual disc, and of course being a STEREO makes it so much more Desirable and Collectable than the MONO version. A near mint one of these will set you back well over £5000. So here is your chance to own a very RESPECTABLE copy of this MEGA RARE RECORD for a lot less than that!!!!
The SLEEVE is not in the greatest of condition and can only be Graded as GOOD+ . It has a few knocks though there are no RIPS, TEARS or WRITING anywhere, the Front looks Very Nice but unfortunately the Back is Slightly Stained. THIS IS A VERY FIRST ISSUE COVER with the LARGE STEREO LOGO to the top right and the Angus McBean credit correctly situated at the Bottom Right Edge.!!!!
The original EMITEX inner cover is in VERY, VERY GOOD+ CONDITION with no Writing, Rips or Tears anywhere to be seen.
So GRAB YOUR CHANCE to own a VERY RARE and VERY COLLECTABLE piece of BEATLES HISTORY!!!!
Ask yourself this, if only 900 copies of these were produced HOW MANY can STILL be in EXISTENCE TODAY???? This Record is nearly 50 Years Old and with each passing year will become even More Sought After!!!! As a rule once Collected they stay with the Collector for life, simply because of their Rarity Factor. This copy is only up for offer because I have decided to Upgrade it with a Excellent+ Copy, which cost an absolute small fortune. This is a Very Rare Find Indeed!!!!
Not many of these Records have survived to this day and age, and I can promise it will be a long, long time before another one becomes available, and even more so in this Very Nice Condition !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will accept first time buyers as everyone has to start somewhere.
I of course offer my standard FULL REFUND should for some reason the buyer feels I have incorrectly described the Item. That is how CONFIDENT I am that the buyer will NOT be dissapointed with their purchase.
HAPPY BIDDING & GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
