The Beatles
Yeasterday and Today Mono Butcher Cover
June 1966! The Beatles are Touring the Far East. Capital back in the US is hungry for more beatle product. They already have saved up enough songs to make a new Lp they just need a few more. So, while the boys are away Capital takes 3 songs from the yet released Revolver Lp! Now they have enough songs how about a cover. They name the Lp "Yesterday and Today" it makes a lot of sence since its a "chopped up record". A strange choice for an Lp cover...The Beatles in Butcher smocks surrounded by meat and dismembered baby dolls. But thats the one they used. The press didn't care for it so it was pulled. Some were recover w/ the classic Trunk Cover. And the rest destroyes..some paper work says Capital destroyed 55,000 in one day! WoW!!
