MOVING INVENTORY TO GET SOME MORE!! THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM COMPRESSED A28/B29 SCRANTON 1968 USA The Beatles – The Beatles Apple Records – SWBO-101, Apple Records – SWBO 101 2 x Vinyl, LP Mispress, Numbered, Stereo, 1st Press, Capitol Text, Scranton Pressing US Nov 25, 1968 SWBO-1-101-B29 IAM SWBO-2-101-B28 IAM SWBO-3-101-A28 IAM SWBO-4-101-B29 IAM A mispressing from the original rejected Capitol master. When mastering the White Album for the U.S., Capitol Records had applied much more dynamic limiting in the mastering process than the U.K. release. When George Harrison (who was in the U.S. at the time) heard this version, he demanded Capitol remaster the album to reflect the U.K. mastering before the album's official U.S. release. However, stampers taken from the original rejected Capitol master did make it out to the Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Scranton by mistake and were used in the first batch of pressings at Scranton before being retired and replaced with George Harrison's approved U.S. master. All seven errors on the labels Vinyl is EX in very nice condition a few wispy hairlines visible under direct light mostly on side one. very few visible spindle marks. Side 4 looks unplayed. This would be a very nice example regardless of the pressing. Cover is VG mostly due to a someone's name that has faded a bit on the back cover. Otherwise in nice condition with some very minor seam separation at the front opening. front is still pretty white and glossy Poster looks to have never been unfolded.
