CONDITION

DISC: This German 4th press (1973?) STEREO LP is visually in EXCELLENT+ condition. Both sides show full gloss, with only scattered hairlines. Both Horzu labels show no signs of play. Heavy, nearly flawless German vinyl.

You need this pressing of Die Beatles for one simple reason: It's the closest you'll ever get to hearing the Beatles perform in your room. Die Beatles with the A-2/B-2 matrices is hands down the best-sounding version of Please Please Me -- and arguably the best-sounding Beatles LP -- because it doesn't have the added compression all other versions have. This LP reveals a clarity and lifelike presence of the young Beatles that is uncanny and startling.

COVER: The cover, with the top corner cut off and previous owner's name subtly written in permanent black ink, is in GOOD condition, but the LP more than makes up for the cover's flaws.

INNER SLEEVE: The polythene-lined die-cut sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition, with light signs of storage wear and a minor seam split.

GRADING INFORMATION
  • I grade conservatively. MINT is a sealed LP; NEAR MINT is an open LP/cover
with virtually no signs of use/wear; EXCELLENT is a well-looked-after LP/cover
with light signs of use/wear; VERY GOOD+ is an LP/cover with average signs of
    use/wear but is not trashed.
  • I use unforgiving sunlight and incandescent light to visually grade each LP.
  • I don’t make unverifiable claims as to how many plays a non-sealed LP has had.
