Description
Beatles Double White Album PMC 7067/8.
Vinyl = VG. Sleeve = VG (small hole on back near spine).
Matrix numbers XEX 709-1 1 M, XEX 710-1 2 H, XEX 711-1 1 R, XEX 712-1 5 OA.
Vinyl plays very well with a few ticks on side 3.
Overall a very good copy and is only missing the individual photos.
On 17-Sep-14 at 14:02:21 BST, seller added the following information: In the UK we use The Record Collector magazine grading system...... Very Good = The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
There are about 6 ticks at 10 o'clock on side 3 near a 20mm V shaped scuff which does not sound. Can't tell what is causing the ticks. Do not expect a VG+++ record or an Excellent record or a Near Mint record. Having seen about 15 of these records I am happy with my VG grading.
This record doesn't look too bad under normal light but like all records viewed under sunlight or a halogen lamp then yes it does have many light marks. However, it still sounds very good. I have been selling vinyl records as my full time job for 10 years and normally under grade them so the end user is not disappointed. Grading records is so, so time consuming and very subjective that I have become disillusioned with selling vinyl and now concentrate on CDs.
This record was graded by using my Garrard 401, SME3012 tonearm and a dedicated Grado mono cartridge.
It is being sold for a recently widowed friend as a favour.
