THE BEATLES - 'MICHELLE'/'DRIVE MY CAR'
UK 1966 *EXPORT* PRESSING 45
This extremely hard to find, fully intact UK EXPORT pressing 45 is on the black & silver Parlophone label: DP 564
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK.. text but have upper case 'The Gramophone Co . Ltd.' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Drive My Car' label.
Housed in an original green & white 'Fran The Fan' Parlophone company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18357-1 & 7XCE 18358-1
Stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G - one of the earliest possible copies!
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Very hard to find with its original centre still intact, both labels are clean & undamaged with the only issue being the original shop sticker from 'Pons' of Charleroi (Belgium) adhered to the 'Michelle' label.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are clean, bright & glossy with little more than one or two light surface marks on each side but nothing I would call a scratch.
Play: GOOD
Unfortunately the disc does not play as good as it looks as both sides have significant groovewear/background noise. However, this is a respectable collection filler until/if a better one come along.
Cover
VERY GOOD
General age/storagewear with some staining in one lower corner but no writing, tears or splits.
