Description

OK, so i will do my best to describe this in detail but having spent some time looking into it online i have struggled to find much information about this release.

It is a 12 page booklet which measures close to 8" X 7.5" and contains four 7" flexi discs with songs written by The Beatles and Elvis but performed by a 60s Japanese band called The Blue Comets and/ Tortoise (and yes, its amazing!)
Not clear on the bands because the records themselves say Blue Comets and Tortoise whereas in the booklet only Tortoise are 'introduced'
Same goes for age, it may well be written all over it but i can't see, I can assume based on what i have learned about the label and the style and tracks etc that its probably mid 60s

If you search for Keibunsha, the label (i think) you'll get some hits for tv and movie themes and some picture discs.
Discogs has 1 record listed by them and the Blue Comets have a few but not this one, Tortoise might be on there but i couldn't see them so for these reasons I'm assuming this is fairly rare, however I would also not be surprised if someone told me there were billions of them circulating Japan, I really am at a loss so I'm just going to let the auction run on here and assume you guys know what you're looking at!

I've shown a few pics to get an idea of it in general but have a folder with pics of each page and record which i can share if you get in touch
I've also added a few pics using Google Translate to try and show people like me who don't speak japanese an idea of what any of this says, obviously if you speak japanese it will all be clear to you and you'll know more than me!
In terms of condition, The booklet has some general shelf wear along edges and has some foxing to the pages (Browning with age) as they are not laminated to the paper has oxidised a little but is overall in good condition, especially for its age. Some very small folds on corners but minimal.

The Flexi Discs play well, no significant scratches which cause skips or anything but there is some crackle and pop which is to be expected as flexi discs aren't great to begin with!  but they play and sound great and as i d=said above, they're just great tracks, really cool and interesting to hear a 60s Japanese beat band play these songs.
Any questions, please ask. All the info above is true to the best of my knowledge but for all i know there may be other bands or artists on here, im at the mercy of google translate so bid with this in mind.

Tracks (as written)
Please Please me My Bonnie
Suspicion  Viva Las Vegas
Twist And Shout
I Want to hold your Hand
Kissin' Cousins You're the devil in disquise

I only post with 2nd class Signed For which is £4.10  The auction will run, no buy it now as i have no clue what it's worth. the starting price is £24.99 because if it's worth less i'd rather just keep it as i think it's a really cool item. I also know a dealer or shop owner in certain markets could really put a big number on something like this in a shop!
