RARELY SEEN BLACK AND SILVER PARLOPHONE LABEL WHICH IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL
In 1969, for the FIRST TIME since 1963, PARLOPHONE/EMI changed their record label design from Black and Yellow Parlophone to Black and Silver Parlophone, and this ONE EMI BOX Logo was the FIRST PRESSING of their newly designed 1969 Label.
This album features The Gramophone Co Ltd label rim, the encircled ‘P’ date 1964, the wording Made in Gt Britain and with the ONE EMI Box to the bottom of the label. The Vinyl weight is of the same HEAVY QUALITY to that of the earlier 1960’s release and features the same machine stamped matrix numbers as the 1964 version.
The STEREO Vinyl LP comes in its ORIGINAL Printed EMI Advertising Inner Bag and is housed in its ORIGINAL, Laminated, Internal Flip back, GATEFOLD Sleeve.
Official Side 1 matrix is YEX 142-1, Side 2: YEX 143-1. Side 1 stampers: 1/GPG, Side 2: 1/GPM.
Both sides of the record labels are in FINE excellent plus condition, showing only a few light spider trails. Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are again in SUPER excellent plus, Lovely BRIGHT, UNWORN Vinyl with no more than a few light inaudible surface hairlines. The Printed inner bag is RESPECTABLE, no tearing or handwriting. The Laminated Stereo Gatefold Sleeve is in very good plus, a RESPECTABLE sleeve showing a little wear to the spine edge, corner creasing and a small tear to one corner.
The album plays extremely well with NO skips or clicks.
