Description
The Beatles' Christmas Album From Then To You, was a 1970 compilation album of the Christmas records issued via the Beatles' Fan Club - and was available solely to members of their official fan clubs in the UK and the US. Issued by Apple Records (LYN 2154) in the UK released 18th December 1970.
Each year from 1963 to1969,the Beatles had recorded a short Christmas message for their fans, composed of carols, kits, jokes & thanks to the loyal 'Beatle People'. Each recording was pressed onto a 7" flexi disc and mailed free to the British members of the Fan Club.
With the Beatles now split up,the fan club issued a final offering on one LP collecting together all the previous years fan club flexi discs on this one LP. Most interestingly, the original master tapes had been 'mislaid' and so this compilation was created using actual flexi discs belonging to the fan club secretary Freda Kelly.
The cover is intact with no tears but is slightly creased at the corners and marked on the rear (see scans). The inner sleeve has a tiny tear at the top corner.
The record has a small scratch mark on one side and has a couple of finger marks. When I last played the record, it played well. However, I have no facility to test at present.
A very rare record for a collector, a copy recently sold for over £1,000. I am selling this with low start and relatively low reserve.
