Parlogram is delighted to have been commissioned to sell one of the largest collection of Beatles vinyl to come onto the market for many years.

This once-in-a-lifetime collection comprises over 2,000 LPs, 1,000 45s/EPs & many box sets from virtually every country/territory where Beatles records were released.

All records will be sold exclusively on Ebay in auction format only (no 'Buy It Now' offers please) and WITHOUT RESERVE.

Due to the number of discs listed each week, gradings are visual only. However we are happy to provide audio grades on request.

We begin 2014 with part 1 of the Japanese LPs - arguably some of their finest sounding pressings

THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
This 1st Japanese RED VINYL stereo pressing dates from its initial March 1965 release with black & silver Odeon labels: OP-7179

Both labels include the 'LONG PLAYING' text around the lower edge

Matrix numbers: YEX 142 9 & YEX 143 17

Vinyl weight: 145g

Housed within a glossy gatefold cover with '1,800 YEN' price on the rear panel & complete with original lyric sheet & inner-sleeve

CONDITION

Disc: VERY GOOD +

This early copy appears to have received a moderate amount of careful play and bears a few surface marks on each side, but nothing I would call a scratch. There are some wispy paper-type marks under halogen light but nothing else which should affect sound or play.

Cover: VERY GOOD -

A respectable example of this fragile cover which bears moderate handling & storagewear wear throughout consistent with its age. There is wear around the edges of the front leaf, the top especially, but there are no tears of missing paper.

The inside of the gatefold is discoloured but the rear panel is clean & unworn. There is a 7cm split mid-way down the spine but the lettering at both ends is undamaged.

Lyric sheet: GOOD

Inner-sleeve: FAIR
