1964 UK 1st PRESS *STEREO* LP
**NEAR MINT**
This superb 1964 UK 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3062
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
A rarer 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold stereo cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1
Stamper numbers: 3/AL & 1,7/ML
Disc weight: 159g

Just a few tiny spindle marks with part of the silver centre marker still visible on the side 1 label.

Both sides are extremely clean, glossy and in totally unmarked MINT condition when viewed in strong daylight, with no clouding or dulling to either surface.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals only a few wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines, but no further marks or any scratches anywhere.
An unusually heavy pressing for this title which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This copy boasts outstanding sound quality & has received just a few extremely careful plays by its original audiophile owner on a Garrard 401 deck fitted with a Shure M75E cartridge on an SME arm.
The sound throughout is perfectly clean & clear with no traces of any background noise or groovewear on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults anywhere.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
A respectable example of this fragile cover which displays a clean & flat front panel with just some light wear to the top and lower edges but no tears or creasing.
All leading edge is sharp and, apart from some minor wear to the upper left, all coners are square and unbumped.
The rear panel is clean and flat with just a fint disc impression but no further significant signs of wear.
The inside has some discolouration long the top edge and upper flipback but is otherwise clean and bright with no writing or missing paper.
The spine is retains its factory 'pinched' ends with no tears/splits to the upper or lower spine.
All seams are strong, unstreessed and sunsplit.
Inner: EXCELLENT
Crisp & flat with just minor storagewear but no splits, tears or other major faults.
