CONDITION
Disc
Labels: NEAR MINT
A superb set with three small spindle marks to the side 1 centre hole but none one 2.
Visual: EXCELLENT
This immaculate disc has clearly been barely played and carefully stored since purchase 45 years ago. Both surfaces are free from any sciff or scratches in strong daylight and careful examination beneath my unforgiving, powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just some marks from inner-sleeve removal and careful play.
Play: EXCELLENT +
Without doubt, the best sounding of their early stereo LP, and this fine copy does not disappoint. All tracks play perfectly cleanly and clearly in both channels with no traces of any groove/play wear to even the loudest or innermost tracks. Aside from a touch of normal/light background between tracks, there is little to fault audibly on this barely played copy.
Cover
EXCELLENT
An extremely respectable example of this fragile, easily damaged cover which has been carefully stored in non-smoking condition. The delicate front leaf is clean & glossy with sharp, unworn edges & just a single 'thumbnails' wrinkle and a small bend towards the lower right corner. However, all corner extremities are sharp with no tears or damage to any. The rear panel has a few laminate wrinkles to the lower edge but is otherwise undamaged. Inside is clean & black where it should be with no writing or missing paper anywhere. The delicate centre hinge is undamaged and both upper and lower end are unsplit and unstressed. All seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean, white and uncrushed and retains its factory 'pinched' ends.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with just a few inevitable light storage wrinkles but no splits, tears or writing.
Take a listen to the track 'No Reply', recorded directly from this copy on the player below:
