Description
About This Record. This is a yet another REALLY cool record from my collection that everybody needs just as much as a Thneed. A shrinkwrapped Near Mint copy of The Beatles & Frank Ifield's "on stage" LP in STEREO on VeeJay VJ Records VJLP 1085. This is the black label MONO version (but with a stereo cover) with the amazingly rare scandalous back cover misprint that states "It is with a good deal of pride and pleasure that this copulation has been presented." The copulation being Frank Ifield . . . and the Beatles, so who did Frank have an affair with? Or was this really just a compilation. I'll leave that up to your imagination.
Keeper copy that has sat on my shelf, incarcerated for decades. Here's your chance. I bought this new in 1979 sealed at a record convention in the basement of a Holiday Inn in downtown Minneapolis Minnesota along with a butcher cover Yesterday & Today. I have played this once or twice very very carefully, and it has been stored in plastic sleeves and retained in original shrinkwrap since my purchase. No Reserve! See photos!
I wouldn't sell it, but I have a small space college bills and that Neutral Spirits and 13th Floor Elevators record to pay for! See my other RARE and wird stuff I will be, or just listed and am selling.
Please note that I work for eBay and this link is to the Code I have to abide by as an eBay employee: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html I have no clue who works in the Collectibles Division and am not involved in any policy or other decisions that go on; I just happen to like vinyl and happen to work at eBay
Cover Condition. Near Mint/better STEREO cover in shrinkwrap. Nice corners and spine (no writing on spine). Frank Ifield in pinkt print; Beatles in blue-ish print (see photos).
Vinyl Condition. Looks Near Mint, plays like all originals with a few pops here and there in pressing so strong EX to EX+/better. Heavy vintage 154 gram vinyl! mono copy (stereo copy was designated VJSLP 1085). Keeper copy. See my feedback. I bought this new and have only played it only a few times on high quality equipment and have stored it carefully.
Label Condition. Black bracketless VJ labels are Near Mint/better; see photos please. The labels have some imperfections on the label but those were as new. No tears, the usual spotting. See photos please.
About Me. I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years. With a child in college, I often sell records so I can buy more vinyl. 99% of what I sell is vinyl; read my Feedback! Common LPs are a waste of your time and mine! I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept in well preserved. This comes cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine and housed in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve, and plastic sleeve, and original plain inner sleeve.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide ; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping, so if you are unsure wait for my invoice. . . . I will ship by any method you want. But if you do not pay for protecting your purchase, the record will be shipped at your own risk. I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human..
