Description
The Beatles and John Lennon / Yoko Ono : Get Back To Toronto
I.P.F. Records bootleg release IPF-23. Excellent stereo with some crackles.
Dead wax reads IPF-23A on side 1, IPF-23B on side 2.
This interesting and insightful bootleg features outtakes from The Beatles' "Get Back" recording sessions. Provides insights into the workings of The Beatles in the studio as they invent and reinvent songs which later made the final cut. Opening the record is the well publicized "peace message" from John Lennon and Yoko Ono, famously delivered from from their Toronto hotel bedroom.

This scarce LP is featured in the Hot Wacks book compilations of recommended bootleg releases. Hot Wacks, a Canada based publication, was my bible for guidance on "alternate label" recordings.
Vinyl: EX
The cosmetics of the wax are near mint, with high gloss and only light surface marks present. However, the wax plays with modest surface noise ("pops and crackle") audible between tracks and during some quiet passages, characteristic of bootleg vinyl of that era ... with one exception. The surface noise is a troublesome distraction during track 1 on Side A (the Lennon / Ono spoken "peace message"). This opening track plays through fine but the crackles are objectionable. That said, the songs which follow on Side A and B play very well, with a low tolerable level of background noise. A great and interesting listen despite the less than stellar sonics so common to vinyl bootleg pressings.
Labels are clean. Look "like new".

Jacket: EX
Characteristic of bootleg releases of that era, the jacket is a generic white with a printed sheet adhered to the front ... in excellent condition.

Music is my passion. I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll. Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.
All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.
All are play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.
As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.
All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.
